Dear PES Families,
Our PES Summer Newsletter can be accessed here.
We hope all of our Panther families are enjoying the summer months! It certainly has been hot outside, and we also hope everyone is safe and cool during this recent heat wave! At PES we are already preparing for a new, and exciting school year. The summer update has a few pieces of upcoming information for all PES families.
Our school supply lists are out. School Supply lists for ALL grade levels can be found on our PES website, or by going to the direct link: PES School Supplies 2023-2024.
Our Summer Camp Program is in full swing, and we are already halfway complete with this year's activities! Our Summer Camp Panthers have been having a great time at FES this summer with their teachers and CCRP Camp Counselors. Check out our Facebook Page for pictures from this year's camp.
The PES Roof Replacement Project is on time and going fantastically! You may have noticed materials, construction equipment, and more outside of PES this summer. This roof replacement project is why our Panthers are housed at FES this year for summer camp - and we thank FES for being such amazing neighbors! We fully expect this project to be completed before school begins, and we thank our families for their patience.
Our annual PES Title I Information Night will take place on Thursday, August 15th at 5:30 in the PES cafeteria. This annual event features the PES administration presenting our Title I Funding plans and information for the upcoming school year. Information covered includes current uses of Title I funding at PES, an overview of the Title I budget for PES, and more. We will have light snacks and refreshments for students and families!
PES will be mailing out annual Back to School Information Letters and Class Assignments the week of August 12 to 16th. Families can expect to receive our welcome back letter, class assignment details, another copy of their classroom supplies list, and a school calendar. This initial mailing will be for K to 5 families only, and Pre-K assignment information will be mailed out the following week(s) as class lists are finalized.
Please consider helping out PES Preston Panther PTO with their annual Adopt a Classroom Fundraiser! Our new PTO Board has hit the ground running and have many exciting events and opportunities planned for our Panthers and families this year. The Adopt a Classroom Fundraiser is one that showcases our PTO's awesome ability to connect with our community and local businesses to help our amazing staff make their classrooms the very best in all of CCPS! Information on this fundraiser is on our Facebook page and in this newsletter.
Our annual Meet the Teacher event will be at PES on August 26th from 2 to 3 PM. The first day of school will be on Wednesday, August 28th. As we get closer to these days more information will be shared.
