Dear PES Families,

We hope everyone is having a great weekend! We had a fantastic first week back after the long extended Winter Break! Please be sure to read the entire newsletter for all of the upcoming events at PES and for other important CCPS information.

There will be no school this Monday, 1/20, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. 

The monthly Board of Education Meeting will be held this Tuesday, 1/21, at 6 PM. 

Friday, 1/24, is a half-day of school to mark the end of Quarter 2. Report cards will be issued electronically the following Friday, 1/31.

The Lego Book Club will meet on Thursday, 1/23, right after school with Mrs. Ackerson.

Teacher and Support Staff of the Year Nominations are open! Please see either the email that has been sent to all families or the newsletter below for information on how to submit a nomination. 

This week, we shine our PES Educator Spotlight on Mrs. Anne Quidas! Mrs. Quidas teaches 4th and 5th grade Mathematics and 4th grade Science and Social Studies. Mrs. Quidas holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Johns Hopkins University. Mrs. Quidas also holds Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and Middle School Math certification. Mrs. Quidas is also a member of our PES WellBeing and Belonging School Improvement Team. Mrs. Quidas plans to continue to positively impact as many minds and hearts as possible before my retirement. ! We are so thankful that Mrs. Quidas has made the Panther Pride Den her home! #PESEducators #PESPantherPride
