Before and after school tutoring, Chorus, Orchestra, Band, and Panther Singer practices and sessions will run on their normal schedules this week.
We are thrilled to celebrate Mrs. Jenn Claytor on being named a finalist for Caroline County Public Schools Support Staff Employee of the Year! 🎉 Mrs. Claytor's unwavering dedication, kindness, and compassion shine through every day at Preston Elementary School, where she pours her heart into supporting her Pre-Kindergarten students. Her strong work ethic and caring nature make a lasting impact on both students and colleagues alike.
Preston Elementary School is proud to recognize World Autism Awareness Day this Wednesday, April 2nd! We encourage all students and staff to wear blue in support of autism awareness.

The CCPS Board of Education has released the amended 24-25 school calendar to account for snow days and make-ups. Please see the article linked in our newsletter for details and a copy of the amended school calendar.
This week, we shine our PES Educator Spotlight on Mrs. Katie Daffin! Mrs. Daffin is a 3rd-grade teacher at PES and is in her 18th year of teaching! She holds a Bachelor's in Elementary Education with a minor in History and a Master's in Teacher Leadership. Mrs. Daffin is also fully trained in LETRS under MSDE's Science of Reading protocols. Mrs. Daffin is a member of our SIP Safety and Behavior Team. She plans to get the necessary certifications to teach history in High School or College in the future! We are so thankful that Mrs. Daffin has made the Panther Pride Den her home! #PESEducators #PESPantherPride
