Dear PES Families,

Hello! We hope everyone has had a fantastic first week of school! There were SO many smiling faces from our students, staff, parents, and families this week! Having our students back in the building brings an energy that we can all feel, and we are excited about the learning journey your students are going to go on this year!

Please be sure to download the new CCPS App from either the Apple App Store or Google Play Store as soon as possible. In the near future, CCPS will be transitioning to our App as our main method of communication. It will be a hub for news, posts, emails, calls, and more that will enable our families to stay up-to-date on all the latest CCPS news.

  1. Pre-K Orientation will be on Wednesday, September 7 from 2 PM to 3 PM at PES. Our Pre-K 3 and 4-year-old families can come to the front office, sign in, and then will be directed to visit their student's classroom for this informal event. This is an opportunity to drop off supplies, see your student's classrooms, and meet the administration.
  2. The first day of our Pre-K 3 and 4-year-old programs will be on Thursday, September 8.
  3. Please return the Choptank Wellness Form (Green) if you would like to have your student enrolled in our School-Based Health and Dental program.
  4. Please return the Free and Reduced Meal Form for all students that were sent home this week. This form is directly tied to our state Title I funding, and it is very important that we get as many back as possible regardless of earning status
  5. Please be on the lookout for technology contracts that are being sent through email via PowerSchool. You can electronically sign these contracts for your student(s) this year
  6. Our PTO will be having its next meeting on Monday, 9/12 @ PES starting at 6 PM.

Important events for this week and beyond include:

  • No School - Labor Day - 9/5
  • Pre-K Orientation @ PES - 2 PM - 9/7
  • CCPS BOE Meeting - 6 PM - 9/7
  • First Day of Pre-K 3 and 4 Programming - 9/8
  • PTO Meeting - 6 PM @ PES in the Media Center - 9/12
